This beautiful pattern, Afmæli, was created to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Istex. Designed by Védís Jónsdóttir and knit with Léttlopi, it is a lovely sweater to showcase the features of Icelandic wool and knitting. Your warm and lightweight finished garment will be a timeless treasure celebrating the magic of Icelandic Wool.

Construction: Body and sleeves are worked in the round from lower edge to underarms, then joined to work yoke in the round. Round begins at left side of body. On yoke, round begins on the left side of back at the joining of body and sleeve.

Children's (31½", 35") Adult 35", 38½", 42", 45”
Note, these measurements are the finished chest measurements. We recommend selecting a size based on your actual chest measurement plus the amount of positive ease you want in your finished sweater.
Kit Splits:
Size 1 - Up to 38.5" (16 balls)
Size 2 - Up to 42" (18 balls)
Size 3 - Up to 45" (19 balls)
Colors Used: Note: this pattern is written with a variety of color ways, we have put together our yarn set for the multi-colored yoke version (see product photos). In that colorway, we now offer a choice of main color 0052 or 0005.
