The Rue Bonnie Cowl is a lovely design by the The Woolly Thistle's own, Caitlin! She designed this cozy cowl to be a fun introduction to stranded colorwork knitting. It is just that and so beautiful using Rauma Fivel and Junction Fiber Mills Making Tracks which is a variegated yarn.
This Kit Includes:
Construction: This tubular cowl is started with a provisional cast-on, knit in the round, then given a half-twist to be a mobius shape, and finally grafted to the beginning using kitchener stitch. Each chart repeat section alternates main and contrasting colors, so each color is used equally. The colorwork calls for only two colors per row with no floats greater than five stitches.
As always, it is important to manage gauge to ensure you will have enough yarn. If you are worried you can purchase an extra skein. Please remember that every effort is taken to represent the true colors of the yarn and that monitor settings will vary.
