The Riggies Cardi by Gudrun Johnstson is a cozy design from Grand Shetland Adventure Knits by Mary Jane Mucklestone and Gudrun Johnston. This cardi is perfectly oversized and comfortable while being the ultimate in layering style.
This yarn set includes all the Jamieson's of Shetland DK yarn needed to make the Riggies Cardi. Complete with a TWT tote and stitch marker, you can get a little taste of Shetland while knitting and wearing your Riggies Cardi. Gudrun's Riggies Cardi is knit with Old Gold and she has suggested several other colors that would look great in this oversized cardi!

Construction notes from the designer:
This oversized, open-front garter stitch cardigan is worked flat in pieces from side to side. When worn, garter ridges are shown vertically. Short rows are used to shape the shoulders. Stitches are picked up along the individual front and back pieces for a garter rib hem. A visible Three Needle Bind Off is used along the shoulders, center back and side seams. Sleeve stitches are picked up and worked flat in garter stitch, ending with a garter rib cuff; sleeves are then seamed with mattress stitch. Stitches are picked up along the front body and back neck to work the neckband in garter rib which is finished with a narrow, rolled edge. Optional patch pockets finished with an I-Cord edge are worked and applied after garment completion.
Sizing: Kit sizes are split as follows based on finished measurements.
Size 1: Up to 49" (19 balls)
Size 2: Up to 57.5" (22 balls)
Size 3: Up to 66" (26 balls)
