We are delighted to partner with our neighbors at Junction Fiber Mill to bring you this line of beautiful yarn. The mill works with a handful of New England farms to source some of the best breed specific fleece. The Making Tracks Line is a two-ply variegated yarn from 100% American sourced wool. This yarn is soft to the touch with a bit of spring. It is hand dyed in small batches and spun at the mill.
BREED: 100% American Wool (from finer breeds like Merino, Targhee, and Corriedale)
BALL/SKEIN LENGTH: approx 210 yards
YARN THICKNESS: DK
PACKAGE: approx. 100g
Hand wash cold, lay flat to dry
Made in Vermont, USA
100% American sourced and milled; Small batch, Limited Edition
*Please note that these are small batch dyed by Junction Fiber Mill and each skein is unique. You will see color variation between skeins. Some dyes are notoriously difficult to set and may exhaust some color even after their final wash at the mill. We recommend steam blocking when working with contrasting colors. Wash your finished knits in cold water only with a no-rinse wool wash.
Junction Fiber Mill is one of my favorite yarns to knit with. I am so very pleased with how it knits up and the way the colors flow. I have used many of these, specifcally in place of other yarns in sweater patterns that call for varigated yarns. Vermont has wonky weather and you will NEVER be cold or out of fashion in a sweater knit with Junction Fiber Mill. Also, something that I found to be a bonus....when it comes time to swift, it is so easy to get the skeins onto a table swift or the amish floor swift (I have even used a chair). I found it very easy to also match up the colors when doing front/back and sleeves so that it looks as if the colors keep going.

Junction Fiber Mill Making Tracks
It's always a pleasure to write a review about The Woolly Thistle and the beautiful yarn that you sell. I purchased a skein of Junction Fiber Mill Making Tracks yarn thinking that I'd look at it, "feel it" and then decide what I'd knit from it. I knew that I'd need more, but wanted to pick a pattern and go from there. I'd selected Andrea Mowry's cowl pattern "Shift." My birthday happened to be around this time and my son must have heard me say how much I enjoy The Woolly Thistle, so my birthday present was a $50 gift card to TWT! When I place the order for two more skeins of Junction Fiber Mill yarn I forgot to use the gift card. Your staff couldn't have been nicer in helping me correct my order and use the gift card. I love your yarns, staff and the wonderful way you deal with customers! Thanks Corrine..... Joanne Palica
