Cloud Drift Cowl Kits by Gudrun Johnston in Jamieson's of Shetland Spindrift and Madelinetosh Tosh Silk Cloud

The new Cloud Drift Cowl kit is a special collaboration for Rhinebeck from Simply Shetland, Madelinetosh, and Gudrun Johnston. The cowl kit features a limited edition color, “Plivver”, in Madelinetosh Tosh Silk Cloud, dyed just for Simply Shetland and to perfectly match the main color shade of Spindrift in Old Gold.

The simple mosaic design in the eye-catching new cowl design creates a gradient effect reminiscent of Sashiko patterns, highlighting the beauty of Shetland yarn held with a Japanese milled yarn.

Construction: Inspired by Shetland hap shawls, the cowl is worked flat with yarn overs at the edges and then seamed to form the cowl. It features mosaic knitting, a fun colorwork technique without stranding, all on a garter stitch background.

This Set Includes:

• 5 balls of Spindrift: 2 balls of the main color and 1 ball each of the three contrasting colors.
• 1 skein of Tosh Silk Cloud in Plivver: An exclusive color developed by Madelinetosh. Plivver is the Shetland term for the Golden Plover, a bird known for its earthy golden feathers.
