Introducing the Among the Wildflowers Socks by Jessica McDonald! This fun design calls for three colors of the Retrosaria Mondim yarn and has a beautiful colorwork band at the top!

Retrosaria Mondim Yarn is a fingering weight, non-superwash yarn made of 100% Portuguese Wool. Jessica's Among the Wildflowers is a perfect sock project with a nice bit of colorwork! And a little bonus to this three skein yarn set is that it can give you enough yardage to knit two pairs of socks! You just need to swap C1 and C2 for the second pair.

The Set includes:

  • 3 balls of Retrosaria Mondim (100g balls; colorway of your selection)
  • The Woolly Thistle small tote
  • Thistle Stitch Marker - selection varies
This yarn set does not include the pattern which can be purchased on Ravelry:

Among The Wildflowers Socks

Just finished up one pair of these socks and have plenty of yarn left to do a second pair by mixing up the colors. The yarn is wonderful to work with and the pattern is well written and easy to follow.

Love Retrosaria's Mondim!

I absolutely loved knitting with Retrosaria' Mondim. This was my first time knitting with Mondim and it is now my new favorite sock yarn. This yarn is 100% non-super wash wool the color work knitted up fabulously! I ordered the Pink Wintergreen kit and the pattern was easy to follow, very few floats to catch. I really like that the kit labeled the yarn colors C1, C2, and C3, however, I am wondering if my kit was labeled incorrectly. Color 2, the large flower, was labeled 500, which is the natural color and the background Color 3 was labeled A583, the light pink. I switched C2 and C3 so the flower is pink to follow the flavor of the designer's original pattern. The color contrast between the pink flowers and background is very subtle so if you like a stronger contrast I would recommend using the Designer Original kit or ordering a lighter background color with this pink.

Lovely, woolly rustic yarn!

I was delighted to receive my yarn kit for "Among the Wildflowers" socks. I've not had the pleasure of knitting with Retrosaria's Mondim yet. But I love how rustic and natural this yarn from Portugal is. I'm quite sure that this non-superwash wool yarn will wear beautifully, and I look forward to knitting two pairs of socks with it!
