Rauma yarns from Norway are a favorite here at The Woolly Thistle! If you're looking for a durable and woolly DK weight yarn, Rauma Strikkegarn is just right! This yarn is a nice, round 3ply structure and wears beautifully over time. 

This yarn is excellent for color work and comes in big bouncy 50g balls.  It's also perfect for the long stockinette knitting of garments.  This 100% Norwegian Wool yarn wears well and resists pilling. Rauma Strikkegarn is available in a wide range of colors for all of your knitting needs!

Woolly and wonderful

I am a woman who seriously wants to outlive my stash. I am making a concerted effort to make use of stash yarns in projects. I have had some of this yarn in “stash” for awhile. I purchased some additional skeins for a project and I love it. I look forward to knitting with more of this yarn. It could easily become my go to yarn.

Great Norwegian yarn!

I am doing Selbu mittens and wanted to use Norwegian yarn for this historic Norwegian garment. The yarn produces nice stitch definition and looks like the mittens will be able to stand many years of wear.
