Mountain Meadow Wool is a family operated mill, located along the western plains of Wyoming, dedicated to supporting local ranchers and raising awareness about ranching culture in the American West.
Mountain Meadow Wool Cody is a Sport weight yarn that is soft and springy. The 100% Merino wool is artisan dyed and the yarn maintains it's lovely natural qualities. Available in both natural and artisan dyed shades, this yarn is great for colorwork.
A note about MOUNTAIN MERINO® WOOL
Our Mountain Merino® is next-to-skin soft. Our signature Mountain Merino® wool fibers are carefully selected from premium USA ranches ensuring quality and softness. All of the wool we use meets strict guidelines for the fine-micron (diameter) count which provides that next-to-skin softness and durability. We blend premium Merino, Rambouillet, Targhee and Cormo wool to create our Mountain Merino® Wool.
If you are looking for some inspiration to get Mountain Meadow Cody on your needles, we have our eye on these designs:
Please note that these skeins are hand-dyed and we would recommend alternating skeins to even color distribution and avoid unwanted color pooling. Please remember that every effort is taken to represent the true colors of the yarn and that monitor settings will vary.
Note: The natural gray Cody uses Natural Black Wool and this wool is becoming increasingly hard to source, this is why the price is higher for the natural gray yarn.
Excellent service, super fast, great prices!
This yarn looks slightly rustic, but is soft against the skin and has a nice drape. I will definitely be using it again. TWT service was great, too.
Great yarn, excellent service from TWT.
