Meet the Vanilla's Big Sister Sweater in Wooldreamers Manchelopis!
Following in the footsteps of the Vanilla Sweater, our community’s favorite wardrobe staple, the Big Sister Sweater keeps everything you love about the original but turns up the cozy and the charm. Designed by Corinne and inspired by Renee Allen, this brand-new design is already making waves (as seen on our Shopcast!) and is destined to be your next go-to knit.
With a larger gauge for a faster finish, Big Sister delivers all the warmth and comfort of the Vanilla Sweater. It’s the kind of sweater that practically flies off your needles and one you’ll reach for again and again once it’s off the blocking mats.
Big Sister is a great sweater knit for beginner knitters ready to make their first sweater, and for experienced knitters looking for a fast and fun palette cleanser!
This kit includes Wooldreamers Manchelopis yarn which is 100% Spanish Wool. Manchelopi is an unspun yarn which creates a light fabric that is cozy and warm. This wool is delicate because it's unspun, but don't let that put you off. Carefully unwind your wool from the plate (never tug) to knit your stitches before unwinding the next lot. Should your wool break, simply rub the two ends back together with a little water. Once knitted, the fabric is strong and delightfully soft!

The "Knit the Big Sister" Sweater Course is available to walk you through each step of the process. It's a great resource and guide for new garment knitters or those wanting to knit along and hear some tips and tricks!
Construction Information: This sweater is knit from seamlessly from the top down.
Sizes: Kit splits are based on finished bust measurements. Sweater is designed to be worn with 4-6" of positive ease.

Recommended Needles:
US 10 (6mm) long circular needle and DPNs, for body and sleeves, or whatever size needle is necessary to obtain gauge.
US 8 (5mm) short circular needle and DPNs, for neck edging and cuffs.
As always, it is important to manage gauge to ensure you will have enough yarn in your kit. If you are worried you can purchase an extra ball! Please remember that every effort is taken to represent the true colors of the yarn and that monitor settings will vary.
