E+2 by Einrúm is a unique blend of 80% Icelandic wool and 20% Thai mulberry silk, combining the warmth and water-repelling qualities of Icelandic wool with the softness, strength, and subtle sheen of silk. The result is a beautiful fingering-weight yarn that produces warm, breathable garments with beautiful stitch definition. Some of the colorways pair naturally colored wool with contrasting silk, creating exceptional depth and texture.
In the name E + 2, the "E" stands for Einband by Ístex, a lace-weight yarn spun from 100% Icelandic wool. The "+ 2" means two strands of mulberry silk are plied with the wool, creating a yarn that blooms beautifully after blocking while retaining the character and durability of Icelandic wool. E+2 is an excellent choice for sweaters, shawls, and accessories you'll enjoy wearing for years.

Please Note: Colors 1004 Stilbít and 1005 Barít are similar in appearance. 1004 is a warm-toned light grey wool with contrasting taupe-colored silk, while 1005 is a neutral light grey blended with some dark wool fibers and taupe colored silk. Both are beautiful natural colorways that contrast well with the rest of the line. We've provided a labeled photo for comparison.
