  • Yardage: 350 yds / 100g

Tukuwool Sock yarn is designed with sock knitters in mind. The woolen spun non-superwash wool yarn makes warm and comfortable socks. The three-ply yarn is twisted tightly but gently to create a light and lively yarn for an enjoyable knitting experience. These new 100g skeins enough for a pair of socks for adults.

Tukuwool is spun with 100% Finnish Wool, mostly Finnsheep with some Finnsheep-Texel crossbreed wool. Finnish wool has the original, natural hand feel and scent.

Biodegradable polyamide adds durability to the yarn but, unlike traditional polyamides which can persist in the environment for decades, it breaks down by natural processes into harmless components within a reasonable timeframe of approximately 5 years.

Please remember that every effort is taken to represent the true colors of the yarn and that monitor settings will vary.

From Tuku: You know what it feels like to be in love with wool. You are familiar with the rhythm of knitting, the feeling of letting your mind drift away with each stitch. This same passion has led us to create Tukuwool Fingering, a strong, vibrant wool yarn with timeless charm. Our yarn is spun and dyed in Finland - using only Finnish wool. The high quality wool together with the carefully selected colors give our yarn soul and meaning. Let yourself go, play with our warm, natural tones and enchanting, vivid colors. Wrap the rustic wool around your needles and let it tell you its ageless story.

Favorite Sock Yarn

Tuku Wool Sock has been a favorite sock yarn of mine for several years. It knits into a beautiful sock with lovely stitch definition. I grew up with socks knit by my grandmother, she purchased her yarn from Canada. Tuku Wook Sock has the same feel and warmth that those socks I grew up in had. When you are a young child walking a mile plus to school on those cold, crunchy, below zero northern Maine days you truly appreciate those socks your Grammy knit just for you. I love being able to gift them to my friends and family.
So pleased that I can now purchase this yarn from The Woolly Thistle.

as the yarn she used.

Cushy!

I'm halfway through the first sock, and I'm loving the feel of this yarn! It's mid-range for softness, but outstanding for feeling cushion-y. My instincts tell me it will be strong on durability, too; the fabric on #2 needles is dense but flexible, a promising combination.
