The official 2023 Shetland Wool Week knitting pattern is the Buggiflooer Beanie by Alison Rendall! We are happy to now have yarn sets available for some beautiful colorways of Jamieson & Smith yarn. Choose your favorite colorway and then you'll just need to grab your needles and the pattern from the Shetland Wool Week site to be on your way!
The official 2023 Shetland Wool Week knitting pattern, the Buggiflooer Beanie, has been exclusively designed by the Shetland Wool Week patron for 2023, Alison Rendall. Alison is a Shetland born Fair Isle knitter who learned Fair Isle knitting as a young child. Now a Shetland-based nurse and prolific knitter and designer, Alison is influenced by the designs and colors of her Nan's knitting and she see inspiration in the nature around her.
"Buggiflooer" is the Shetland name for Sea Campion which grows in abundance near her home by the sea.
This Yarn Set Includes:
- 5-7 balls of Jamieson & Smith 2-ply Jumper Weight Yarn in the colorway of your choice.
- A small TWT tote bag
- A TWT stitch marker
