I got this yarn because I had knitted with the Icelandic Plöttulopi before and was curious what a different roving yarn would be like. This is softer and even more breakable, but breaks are easily repaired. The white, at least, seems to have retained a little lanolin--I can feel it in the texture and the wool smells a little "sheepy". After knitting with it for a while, it is lubricating my plastic needles. I won't have the final word on this until the garment is finished and worn, but the fabric looks and feels fluffy, and the stitch definition is good in the textured pattern.
