Since April, we've sold hundreds of sets of Rauma Finullgarn for knitting the Vanilla Sweater. I did not plan to release the pattern individually yet but in light of what is happening around our Country right now and especially in Minneapolis I am making the pattern available for sale. As of June 1st, 100% of proceeds from the sale of the pattern for the next 2 weeks will go to Color Of Change
who create effective campaigns for fighting racism. UPDATE: on June 14th TWT donated $5460 to Color of Change all from the sale of the Vanilla Sweater. Thank you!!!!!
Color Of Change helps people respond effectively to injustice in the world around us. As a national online force driven by 1.7 million members, we move decision makers in corporations and government to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people, and all people. Until justice is real.
Upon purchase the PDF pattern will be delivered to you via email. Shop for Rauma Finullgarn to knit your Vanilla Sweater here
We have a KAL for the Vanilla Sweater starting 6/15 and the chatter thread is already buzzing! Join us!
This simple top down raglan sweater is available in one-size only, 48” bust, intended to have 6-8” positive ease. The sweater is knitted in Rauma Finullgarn which is a fingering weight yarn and is knitted on a US 6 which results in a loose drapey, fabric. The finished sweater is a relaxed fit with 3/4 length sleeve, round neck and split hem. The sweater is inspired by Ann Budd’s book “Knitters Handy Book of Top-Down Sweaters”.
As mentioned, the pattern is currently only available in one size (48” bust) so if you would like to adjust the size I recommend you obtain a copy of Ann Budd’s book which runs up to 54” bust.
Approx yardage: 1000y
