Rauma yarn has been spun since 1927 in Norway. The town of Veblungsnes in Møre og Romsdalis is located in fjord country on the Rauma River on the west coast of Norway.

The company started with 3 employees and continued to develop over the years. The textile factory was completely destroyed by bombing during WWII at which time a new factory was immediately erected. The factory and company was completely overhauled in the 1970's.

The Woolly Thistle is delighted to offer Finullgarn in over 100 shades with more being added. This yarn is excellent for color work and comes in big bouncy 50g balls. It is said this yarn lasts for years and doesn't pill. Rauma Finullgarn has many supporters in the podosphere and beyond.

This is my first purchase from The Woolly Thistle and my first purchase of this yarn. I'm so happy with both!

Versatile, Pleasurable, Affordable

If I could have just one yarn, it would be Finull. It is a pleasure to knit with, stands up to years of wear, it's affordable and comes in a wide range of colors. I knit a lot of toys for grandchildren and use so-so yarn. Now i am trying to knit it away so I can use a good yarn. Why am I saving it just for me? It makes great Norwegian mitts, hats, sweaters, and now toys! I should have as much fun knitting the toys as the grandchildren have playing with them!
