This beautiful Peerie Shop Cardi designed by Mary Jane Mucklestone uses such a lovely selection of Léttlopi yarn. The beautiful cardigan for adding some color and style to your outfit, not to mention warmth! The Léttlopi yarn will give you that cozy feel and this design from the beloved Grand Shetland Adventure Knits book is perfect for every outting.

This Yarn Set Includes:

10 - 15 balls of Léttlopi Icelandic Wool (quantity varies based on size selection)
Large The Woolly Thistle Project tote
Stitch Marker - selection varies

The pattern is not included with this yarn set and is currently only available in the book: Grand Shetland Adventure Knits by Gudrun Johnston and Mary Jane Mucklestone.

Construction: (From Ravelry) This cardigan is worked in the round from the top down to the armholes, then sleeves and body are divided and worked separately in the round to bottom edge. The colorwork is charted; most rounds are worked with two colors, while a few rounds are worked with three. A steek is used to create the center front opening. Short rows shape the lower back yoke for a well-fitting neckline. Body hem and sleeve cuffs feature a bit of colorwork and are finished in 1 x 1 rib. After cutting open the center front steek, stitches are picked up to work the button band in 1 x 1 rib. Body and sleeve lengths can be adjusted (note that adjustments in length will affect total yardage required).

Sizing: Measurements are finished bust circumference. Model is wearing sweater with 2-3" of positive ease.

Size 1 - Up to 37.25" (7 balls)
Size 2 - Up to 45.25" (8 balls)
Size 3 - Up to 53.25" (10 balls)
Size 4: Up to 65.5" (12 balls)

Colors Used: 1405 Bottle Green (MC), 9423 Lagoon Heather (CC1), 1705 Royal Fuchsia (CC2), 1407 Pine Green (CC3), 9421 Celery Green (CC4) and 1417 Frostbite (C5)

Beautiful but incomplete

First off, this is a lovely pattern. The Shetland Book is full of wonderful treasures for future knitting. I am knitting the size 2, and there is a misprint in the charted pattern (for the smaller size chart) that omits one increase, which then impacts the sizing, ie. it is child sized. Be advised there are helpful tips on Ravely. If you follow the larger chart size and add the one omitted increase you will have a wearable garment. I had to knit the yoke twice due to this misprint. I recommend noting the book misprint so future knitters do not have this same problem. Second, I am finishing my second sleeve and will not have enough MC to finish this sleeve. I would recommend including one more MC to this kit to prevent delays for the eager knitter and also to sell a kit that contains ALL the yarn you need to complete the cardigan. I love the pattern and the wool, unfortunately I will be waiting for more yarn to finish this sweater KAL project.

Must buy book for this pattern.
