This Sunshine on the Path Hap is designed by Patricia Anne Fortune and knit with Rauma Finullgarn. "Hap" is the Scottish word for wrap or shawl. The Sunshine on the Path Hap is uniquely shaped as an isosceles trapezoid. With an extra-large wingspan, this hap will drape beautifully around your shoulders with plenty of length, providing lovely and light warmth.

The pattern for this yarn set must be purchased directly from the designer on Ravelry: Sunshine on the Path Hap by Patricia Anne Fortune.

As always, it is important to manage gauge to ensure you will have enough yarn. If you are worried you can purchase an extra skein! Patricia recommends 4 or 5 balls for this hap and we have included 5 balls in this yarn set. Depending on your own personal gauge and knitting style, you might need to plan for a few additional grams of yarn to complete the Hap.Rauma Finullgarn
The design of this hap is rooted in traditions of Trøndelag, Norway. The all-over lace motif of the modified Trondheim Rose is a joyous nod to the abundant wildflowers of the region.

I have just finished blocking my new hap. It’s so very lovely! I made it in the maroon color (4125). I would say that this lace knit is fairly easy to follow, especially if you are familiar with lace knitting at all. The design is lovely and different from all my other shawls and I look forward to wearing it this winter!
The Rauma yarn is fantastic and blocked beautifully, too.
Rauma is an economical yarn, perfect for warmth and longevity. I haven't had time to make the pattern yet, but it's beautiful! TWT has a great offering of ideas to complete with such a lovely selection of yarn. My favorite yarn store of all!
