The Jane Bennet Socks are the inaugural pattern by Emma Barnaby in a series paying tribute to female protagonists from Jane Austen novels. Featuring a challenging lace pattern, these socks require a bit of patience and perseverance. Imagining Jane Bennet knitting them is sure to inspire!
This cuff down pattern is written for both fingering and DK weight yarns. Emma recommends using Rauma Vandre, a worsted weight yarn, and following the DK weight instructions which she found resulted in very cozy house socks!
Included in this kit:
Care Instructions from Rauma: Garments knitted in Vandre should be machine washed before use. This helps the fibers to "settle", which increases the wear resistance and makes the garment more dirt-repellent. In addition, the garment becomes softer and more fluffy! Lay items flat to air dry. Items knit with this yarn are not dryer safe.
Please note that every effort is taken to represent the true colors of the yarn and that monitor settings will vary.
Our knitting kits are specially curated with all the yarn and inspiration you'll need to complete your project
