Celebrate the beauty and heritage of British wool with The Wonder of Wool: A Knitter’s Guide to Pure Breed Sheep. In this thoughtful and visually rich guide, knitwear designer Justine Lee and Jess Morency explore the stories and characteristics of 62 pure sheep breeds native to the UK—many of which also thrive in the USA and Australia. With a deep appreciation for provenance and regenerative farming practices, this book is perfect for fiber lovers who care as much about where their yarn comes from as how it feels in their hands.

Inside, you’ll discover fascinating breed histories, fleece qualities, and stunning black-and-white photography that brings these unique animals to life. Ten knitting patterns, each designed with yarn from a different breed, showcase the beauty and versatility of these fibers—from soft and lofty to strong and structured. Whether you're a knitter, spinner, or wool enthusiast, The Wonder of Wool is a tribute to the diversity and richness of sheep breeds and a celebration of truly woolly wool. It's a wealth of information and a beautiful book you'll want to browse and display!
