still trying to get the hang of knitting with these
Hi Ann,
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback! The Chiaogoo Shorties can definitely take a little getting used to — they’re quite different from regular needles at first. Many knitters find that after a few projects, they really appreciate the flexibility and precision they offer for sleeves and socks.
Happy knitting,
The Woolly Thistle Team
I am very happy with this set of ChiaoGoo needles. I have already used them for sock knitting and hat knitting. They are especially useful for decreasing the crown of a hat. Can’t wait to get the set of the next larger size of needles.
I have both the Red and Blue ChiaoGoo sets, and love them! I tried knitting Magic Loop, but just did not like it. These are such a positive addition to my knitting bag! They have been a game changer and a joy to use on hats, mittens, and now socks. There are projects I still use my wooden set for, but these are always in use. The cords and needles have a smooth join, and the cords hold up great The only issue I have had is the needle unscrewing from the cord and catching the wool. This is easy to handle with a bit of patience, just use the red heart to grip the needle tip with one hand, and use the T pin to tighten all connections BEFORE you start! Will definitely buy a second set when funds allow!
