Yarn - The Journal of Scottish Yarns is a bi-annual journal focusing on community, history, culture, and creativity of textiles in Scotland. This publication is colorful and offers an insightful view of all things yarn related, making connections and joining threads.

With loads of inspiration, in this Issue there's a 'theme' of kilt making and tartan across three of the articles: There's an article about the history of kilts, highlighting that the skill is endangered - plus a list of Scottish training providers. Then there's Prickly Thistle who use the no-waste design of the great kilt to inspire one of their garments, made in contemporary tartans woven at the first tartan mill to be set up in the Highlands region for decades. And, V&A Dundee who are exploring their own tartan design starting with a limited-edition scarf made for them by micro weavers Vevar in Glasgow.

With interesting articles, patterns, and beautiful photography,  Yarn - The Journal of Scottish Yarns Issue 4 is sure to give you inspiration in every page!
