A bit about these mitts from Kate Davies Designs: "These mitts offer a contemporary interpretation of the graphic and striking two-colour gloves traditionally knitted in Dentdale and the Scottish Borders. Ecclefechan is a small Borders town, well-known as the birthplace of historian and satirist Thomas Carlyle, and famed for its tasty tarts, a recipe for which is also included with the pattern."
