What a Ride!

Today I purchased the Vanilla Sweater Starter Kit! I then called an spoke with Jill which was another treat, but moreso than that, a pleasure! She helped me settle my jitters, guided me through the process of downloading my video course, assisted me in starting an account, which meant we were on the telephone for some time. Jill made me feel as if I were a valued friend and knitting buddy rather than a worrisome customer wasting her time. That was the first inkling of what was to come and the preview didn't steer me wrong. The next episode I was in store for was watching, studying, and the replaying of the course video a total of 4 hours because the instructions were there, the instructor, Corrine, was there, her hands were visible, her speech flow was excellent, the mistakes became easily fixable because "You are the Boss", pleasurable setting so it was easy on the eyes, and the technical tools that were there for ADHD, Seizure, Sight were easy to follow as 1, 2, and 3. I am a new knitter at the age of 73 and Corrine, Jill, and the instructional tools are making my experience one for success. Not just for now and " they have my money", but for years to come. What a recipe, what great customer service, what a video. All I can tell myself is this....buckle up in my GTO for a ride that will varoom with future knitting plans. The money spent and what I received reminds me of this saying, "Give a man a fish, he will have a good meal, but teach him how to fish, he eats for a lifetime". This is exactly what I received. Sounds like I'm happy, huh? I am!!

Respectfully,

Ms. Joanne Hurt

Not up to standard

This is the first Laine publication I have purchased that has left me incredibly disappointed. Unlike the prior books in the "52 Weeks of..." series, which have boasted patterns that were diverse, inspiring, and enticing, this addition is sorely lacking.

The patterns contained within are incredibly homogenous-- many items are essentially the same shape with differing patterns, most samples shown in an unvariegated neutral/primary color. The cover pattern is one of the more interesting ones in the book.

With that said, The Woolly Thistle, as always, was great-- shipped on time as advertised and arrived well-packaged in good condition.

We really appreciate your letting us know that our team took care of you in the way you've come to expect, but we're sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the selections in this new book in the 52-weeks series. We're happy to help you put together some color combinations that might be more to your taste and allow the patterns to shine in a new way for you. Let us know if we can help.
