Breac
Every label of Black Isle Yarns lists the farm names, so you know exactly where your wool is from. We love that because it fits our mission at The Woolly Thistle of championing independent farms, mills, and producers that preserve important traditions through their work, while committing to sustainable practices, and, of course, happy sheep.
Breac means 'speckled' in Gaelic, speaking to the unique combination of Gotland and Jacob breeds present in these woolly skeins. The result is a dense, drapey, and magic yarn that we are so excited to be able to include in this year's Selection Box!
