Blue-faced Leicester sheep are elegant and are deservedly among the most popular of all British breeds due to their fine, soft, semi-lustrous fleece. Blue Faced Leicester wool is a lovely, fine, soft and semi-lustrous wool and is quite creamy in color, and as it is fine and smooth, can be used for next-to-the skin projects.

Despite BFL’s softness, this yarn is also hard wearing and holds its block wonderfully, making it ideal for both more durable items and lace garments. The weight and semi luster of the Blue Faced Leicester wool makes a drapey yarn, which reflects light softly, creating bright saturated shades.
