The Woolly Thistle is pleased to offer this very special Oyster and Purls Romney/Merino DK yarn. The perfect marriage between two classic breeds: the Romney brings just the right amount of rustic, while the Merino balances it out with a delicate touch, making this a beautiful and extremely versatile yarn to work with!

These yarns are sourced in the US, and spun by Battenkill Fibers in the Hudson Valley. Every beautiful color is achieved through botanical dyes, dyed at Green Matters Natural Dye Company in Pennsylvania. Due to the dyeing process, there may be some remaining excess dye in the yarn. Please be mindful of this when using our yarns in multi-colored projects and/or when washing with other hand knits. Colors may vary from skein to skein, we recommend alternating skeins on larger projects.

Some of our current favorite patterns for O&P Romney Merino include Wild Mountain Thyme by Thea Coleman, Comber by Verena Cohrs, & Fluent by Armenuhi Khachatryan.

Oysters and Purls yarn is a naturally dyed yarn and you will see color variation between the coloring of the skeins. We've added a photo for an example of this variation. Please note that every effort is taken to represent the true color of the yarn and that monitor settings will vary.
