The Woolly Thistle stocks their Snowdonia Sock yarn, a 100% wool blend of Romney and Hebridean sheep, worsted-spun and high-twist for true sock-wearing durability. The natural undyed shades let the breeds speak for themselves, while the dyed colorways add depth and highlight the character of the wool.

Back in 2003 Garthenor was the first company in the world to produce fully certified organic wool yarns.  Everything they make is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

Where it's from

Garthenor is located in Tregaron in Wales which looks absolutely beautiful and an excellent place to raise sheep.  We are thrilled to have a selection of Garthenor Organics here at The Woolly Thistle.
